Nan Higdon HarrisonNan Higdon Harrison is the daughter of Walter and Rachel Higdon. Nan grew up in Copperhill, Tennessee. She attended Salem College in North Carolina before transferring to the University of Tennessee where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Nan worked as a fashion copywriter for Miller's in Knoxville, Tennessee and with Davison's (now Macy's) in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1965, Nan married Fred Harrison. They moved to Michigan in 1968 and still reside there. Since 1986, Fred and Nan have owned Hycorr Machine Corporation which makes finishing equipment for the corrugated box industry. Nan has been active over the years with the Junior League and the American Association of University Women. She enjoys playing tennis, snow skiing, and traveling. |
