Joshua Higdon and Louisa Coggins

Jack Moore sent this photograph of Joshua Higdon and his wife Louisa Annie Coggins. Joshua was the ninth child born to William Huffman Higdon and his wife Jane Buchanan.



Jessie Higdon Wilkie tells us in her book Descendants of Joseph Huffman Higdon that Joshua (b. November 1, 1850; d. April 23, 1911) operated the Higdon Gristmill in Macon County, North Carolina.
