Enjoying the day Loretto Chapel

The HFA meeting in Albuquerque was just fabulous. The events included a day trip to Santa Fe. Almost everyone took time to visit the Loretto Chapel to see the staircase, which you just need to see to appreciate. The staircase contains two 360 degree turns yet there are no side or center supports. Below, Eugene and Georgetta Smith are shown just outside the chapel.

The chapel, shown below, was built in the 1870s and is considered to be the first Gothic structure west of the Mississippi River.
